G&W’s civil group handles the work that happens outside the building line: grading, drainage, paving, utilities, and stormwater. We design private site development and public infrastructure from the same office that produces the MEPFP and structural drawings, so grade changes, utility routing, and foundation elevations get reconciled before the set goes out for permit.
Most of our civil work starts with a constraint rather than a blank site. An existing detention basin, a tight setback, a utility easement, or a jurisdiction running its own stormwater criteria. We work through those early with the owner, architect, and contractor so the design that gets submitted is the design that gets built.
We carry permitting and agency coordination through approval, then stay available during construction for RFIs, field changes, and record drawings.
From grading and drainage to utility layout and stormwater management, our Site Civil team supports private development projects with efficient, code-compliant designs. We work closely with owners, architects, and contractors to navigate site constraints, regulatory requirements, and project goals. Our approach keeps projects moving smoothly from planning through construction.
We partner with municipalities to plan and design infrastructure improvements that prioritize safety, durability, and responsible investment. Our work reflects a clear understanding of public accountability, funding realities, and phased improvement planning. The result is infrastructure that strengthens communities over time.
