Visitation Academy: Roof & Facility Assessment

A private school campus on North Ballas Road needed a clear read on the condition of its building and roof before planning repairs and capital spending. Roofing problems in particular rarely announce themselves from the surface, where trapped moisture under the membrane can spread for years before it shows inside. Establishing where water had gotten into the roof assembly, and what shape the wider facility was in, called for methods that see past the visible surface.

G&W scanned all 23 roof sections with handheld and drone-mounted infrared thermography, run after hours for the temperature contrast that reveals wet insulation. That survey fed a facility condition assessment of the building’s structure, envelope, roofing, and mechanical systems. The engagement closed with a report documenting deficiencies, corrective recommendations, and opinions of probable cost to guide the school’s repair priorities and budgeting.
