A new 94,500 gross SF community recreation facility in Wentzville, configured as one story with mezzanine, brings aquatic, athletic, and multi-purpose programs under one roof. The natatorium, gymnasium, fitness areas, and gathering spaces each carry distinct system demands, and commissioning a building with this functional range means verifying performance across systems that rarely coexist in one public facility.
G&W’s whole building commissioning spanned an unusually wide system inventory. Aquatic and water heating, refrigeration, heating, air handling, HVAC controls, and domestic plumbing were verified alongside life safety including fire alarm, standpipe and sprinkler, and fire pump. Electrical commissioning covered substation transformers, switchboards, motor control centers, panelboards, lighting and lighting controls, and emergency power. Security and access control, audio/visual, and alarm monitoring rounded out the scope, with reviews carrying from design through functional performance testing, seasonal testing, and near-warranty end review.
