US Tool consolidated two manufacturing operations into a single renovated 233,500 SF facility in Farmington, bringing production under one roof to improve operational efficiency. Much of the existing building was reworked to support new and relocated production equipment.
Mechanical design conditioned the 125,500 SF production area with air rotation units and 300 tons of air-cooled DX condensing units, and modified and repurposed the existing warehouse heating and ventilation system. Process systems included compressed air, dust collection, process lubrication, and oil mist recovery.
Electrical design redistributed the existing 2,000A and 4,000A, 480V main switchgear to serve new and relocated production equipment, reconfigured power for multiple-voltage machines, and provided high bay lighting suited to fine parts work. Full MEP design also covered a new kitchen, dining and assembly room, and locker core.
