Outpatient healthcare facilities pack a significant amount of electrical infrastructure into relatively compact floor plates. For the new 65,000 SF SSM outpatient facility at Streets of Caledonia in O’Fallon, G&W provided electrical BIM coordination services working from the engineer of record’s design model. Using Revit 2021 to LOD 350, the team modeled conduit one inch and larger, cable tray, lighting fixtures, junction boxes with access zones, and equipment with no-fly zones. Over ten weeks, updated models were submitted ahead of virtual coordination meetings, with clash detection reports driving revisions each week.
