A $78 million, four-sheet NHL practice and public recreation facility demands plumbing systems that can serve professional locker rooms, multiple commercial kitchens, a full concourse, and an outdoor rink that converts to a live music venue, all under one roof. G&W provided plumbing engineering design-build services for the Centene Community Ice Center, the St. Louis Blues practice home completed in 2019, working directly with the plumbing contractor from design through permit. The design-build structure gave G&W room to make practical decisions early, keeping systems coordinated with the facility’s complex mechanical infrastructure and delivering a building that has performed reliably since opening.
