A working radio broadcast operation carries system demands most office fit-outs never see: broadcast studios that cannot go dark, an IT server room that has to stay conditioned around the clock, and power that rides through an outage without interrupting a live feed. The KSE Radio build-out at Meadows Market Place reworked 18,085 SF of an existing retail building plus a new 4,136 SF mezzanine into general offices, production and control rooms, broadcast and auxiliary studios, a workshop, and supporting lounge and conference space.
G&W provided MEPFP Engineering with redundant HVAC for the server room, studios, and offices, relocation of the existing generator on a new transfer switch, a UPS and dedicated branch panel for the IT room, and a temporary generator connection to carry the building through the transition. As commissioning authority, G&W verified the primary and secondary HVAC, lighting controls, generator, UPS, and transfer switch against design intent, closing out with functional performance testing and a final commissioning report.
