Higher education campuses get rebuilt continuously: programs shift, enrollment grows, systems age. G&W has been part of that work at St. Charles Community College for more than twenty years, ranging from campus utility backbones to specialized academic facilities. A major west campus infrastructure project expanded chilled water, hot water, and electrical capacity, with a new utility corridor carrying 12-inch chilled and hot water loops alongside primary electrical distribution, sized for current demand and future growth.
Three academic facilities followed the upgrade: the 85,100 SF Daniel J. Conoyer Social Sciences Building, a 21,000 SF CafĂ©-Bookstore, and a 21,000 SF Visual Arts Building. Recent work includes the 14,000 SF Field-to-Table Institute at the Dardenne Creek Campus alongside MEPFP renovations through occupied buildings on the Cottleville campus. Each new project starts with the college’s systems already familiar to the team.
