Two distinct programs share a single 50,000 SF building envelope at the St. Charles Recreation and Senior Center. The recreational complex occupies the entire first floor and the east half of the second floor; the Senior Center operates independently on the west half of the second floor. Renovating the two-level facility called for systems planning that respected the operational independence of each program within an existing building.

G&W’s MEPFP Engineering scope ran from schematic design through construction administration, including power and lighting, utility coordination, and a fire protection performance specification for the design-build sprinkler scope. Drawings were prepared in Revit and signed and sealed for permit, with construction administration covering shop drawing review and three jobsite observations through final punch.
