A new Chilled Water Plant Addition at the University of Missouri’s Columbia campus required verification of an installed PMMA membrane before the system could be considered watertight. Roughly 6,000 SF of waterproofed concrete deck above the Gas Turbine Building had to be tested for membrane integrity, with any breaches identified for immediate repair.
G&W provided electronic leak detection services using the Detec Integriscan system, scanning the membrane for breaches in continuity across the full installed area. The testing confirmed system integrity where the membrane was intact and pinpointed locations requiring repair, supporting the contractor’s path to a fully verified waterproof assembly before final closeout.
