A 150,000 SF food production facility in Lawrence, Kansas brought a phased growth strategy into the commissioning scope from day one. The building accommodates the first stage of a multi-phase food production process line, with infrastructure planned to receive two additional lines in future phases without disrupting active operations.
G&W’s commissioning scope covered mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in alignment with LEED v4.1 BD+C: Core & Shell certification goals, following ASHRAE Guidelines 0-2013 and 1.1-2007 for HVAC&R systems. The team engaged from early design through construction, equipment startup, testing and balancing, and final turnover, with continued support through the ten-month warranty period.
