Bertelsmeyer Hall serves a range of academic and research functions on Missouri S&T’s Rolla campus: research laboratories, instructional labs, classrooms, faculty offices, and supporting spaces. Across three stories and 68,500 SF, the building’s MEP systems had to meet the precision demands of laboratory environments while supporting a LEED Silver certification target.

Whole building commissioning was the scope of work, contracted directly with the university. G&W verified that mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems performed against design intent and the project’s energy goals, with design-phase reviews, submittal evaluations, and field testing carried through commissioning closeout.
