The St. Charles Police and Justice Center occupies an existing municipal facility supporting the city’s police operations and municipal court functions. A 20,800 SF renovation reconfigured the interior program alongside a parallel refresh of the building’s mechanical and electrical systems.
G&W’s MEPFP Engineering scope covered the major mechanical equipment replacements, including water source heat pumps, fluid coolers, boilers, energy recovery ventilators, and associated pumping systems, alongside a facility-wide LED lighting conversion and MEP modifications supporting the new program layout. A Property Condition Assessment performed in advance of design gave the city a documented baseline of system condition and long-term maintenance considerations across the public safety facility.
