Two Marriott brands share one building at the Quarry development near Interstate 270 and Manchester Road. A four-story, 137,900 square foot hotel houses a 103-room Residence Inn and a 108-room Courtyard by Marriott under a single roof, along with a pool area and indoor fitness room. Combining two flags in one structure means reconciling two sets of brand standards against shared central systems, a pool environment, and the amenity spaces serving both. G&W provided MEPFP Engineering, engaged by the project architect. The mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design was sized across the two room programs, each carrying its own prototype criteria, and coordinated with the pool and fitness areas, the back-of-house operations, and the central infrastructure feeding both hotels. Systems were planned so the two brands could operate independently while drawing on shared building services.
