Police, fire, and EMS operations in Des Peres run out of one building, and none of them can pause for construction. A phased expansion and renovation modernized the 24,500 SF Public Safety Building while the department stayed in service, which left no room for systems that were not proven before turnover.

Contracted directly with the owner, G&W verified rooftop units, ductless split systems, VAV terminals, and hot water systems against design intent, then extended functional testing to emergency power, fire and life safety, and security systems. The commissioning sequence was built around the building’s continuous operations, so each phase was confirmed complete and operating before crews moved into the next area of work.
