Deli Star Headquarters

An empty tilt-up shell in St. Louis became a working food production plant when Deli Star took roughly 102,400 square feet of single-story space and fit a full manufacturing operation inside it. Production and assembly lines, warehouse storage, business offices, locker rooms, and a dedicated MEP support zone all had to share one envelope, each carrying its own load, air quality, and sanitation demands.

Fitting new systems to that program fell to G&W. Starting from the existing building conditions, the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design was shaped around the production layout and the food-grade requirements running through it. A fire protection performance specification went out to draw design-build sprinkler bids, and a separate specialist handled refrigeration. Drawings were produced in AutoCAD and carried through permit, with G&W staying on through construction administration to closeout.
