A new two-story, 27,000 SF family health center clad in brick and metal panel over metal framing relies on a liquid-applied air barrier behind two different cladding types, and each type covers the barrier in a different way. Verifying the barrier before masonry and metal panel go up is the only practical window to confirm it was installed to the manufacturer’s requirements.

G&W scheduled testing around that sequence, with one visit behind the masonry cladding and one behind the metal panel cladding. Each visit paired visual observation of the installed barrier against project documents with dry film thickness readings in four areas and adhesion testing per ASTM D4541. Written reports documented observations, conditions, and test results for each visit.
