G&W Engineering started with two engineers, a few drafting tables, and a simple standard: design done with care. Today we are a multidiscipline team offering MEPFP, structural, civil, commissioning, enclosure consulting, and assessment services, registered in 46 states and DC.
Our growth has come from relationships, not advertising. Nearly every project starts with a referral from someone who has worked with us before, which tells you more about how we work than anything we could write here.
Our core values are not a poster in the lobby. G.I.V.E.S. stands for Guidance, Initiative, Vision, Empowerment, and Service, and each one shows up in the daily work. Guidance is how we mentor younger engineers and steer clients through decisions they may only make once. Initiative means catching the problem before it reaches the field. Vision keeps us focused on how a building has to perform years after we hand it off, not just at substantial completion.
Empowerment is trusting our people to make the call in front of them, and Service is the standard we hold ourselves to with clients, partners, and the communities we work in. When a project gets complicated, these are what we come back to.
Service is one of our core values, and #GWgives is how we put it into practice. Rather than picking causes from the top down, we ask our team to bring forward the ones they care about most, then we get behind them together.
That has meant volunteering on-site, organizing donation drives, and showing up for our communities in whatever way the moment calls for. The work matters. So does what it does for our team: every effort pulls us a little closer together.

We believe our people are our greatest strength, and we have built a culture around that. We are more than coworkers. We support each other personally and professionally, we celebrate the wins, and nobody takes themselves too seriously.
That carries into the work. The best results come when everyone feels free to bring their own strengths to a problem, so we make room for it. We also make time to stay connected, whether through team events, celebrations, or just enjoying each other’s company. When our people feel valued, they do their best work, and the firm is better for it.
