A six-story residential building in Fishers, Indiana stacks four levels of wood framing on a two-story concrete podium, with a mixed cladding exterior. The podium-to-frame transition and the variety of cladding elements are the kind of conditions where enclosure detailing decisions made on paper carry straight through to long-term water performance, so the work was front-loaded into the design and pre-construction stages.

G&W’s scope centered on a detailed review of the construction documents, with markups flagging areas of concern and details needing clarification for a complete enclosure system. Pre-construction work added a mock-up site visit with fenestration testing on the assembly, shop drawing and submittal review, and a progress issues and resolution log to track items through the enclosure phase.
