As the highest-responding station in the City of St. Charles, Fire Station No. 2 anchors the city’s public safety modernization program funded through Proposition R. The 10,000 SF facility houses three drive-through apparatus bays alongside individual bunk rooms, administrative offices, and a kitchen and dining area built to support 24-hour staffing.
The MEPFP systems were designed for the operational tempo of the city’s busiest station: reliable around the clock, durable through repeated alarm cycles, and tuned to the building’s mixed program of equipment bays and crew quarters. The completed station received the 2025 F.I.E.R.O. Honors Award for excellence in fire station design.
