For the first employee spotlight of the New Year, we are featuring Dan Walsh. Dan is an Electrical Project Engineer and has been with G&W Engineering for 16 years! On a typical work day, you can find Dan providing electrical design on a variety of project types and mentoring newer designers and engineers.

Q: What is your favorite part about working at G&W?
G&W provides, at the same time, a challenging and enjoyable work environment. There is great rapport among coworkers.
Q: Why did you choose engineering?
I did well in science and math classes and I wanted an undergraduate technical degree that would provide good and varied job opportunities.
Q: How would you define success?
Success is having good work-life balance and having time to enjoy activities with friends and family and pursue hobbies and interests. It also means raising healthy, successful, independent children and making a difference in someone else’s life.

Q: If you could do another job for just a day, what would it be?
I’ve always want to fly so it would have to be a fighter pilot.
Q: Where is your favorite place to be?
I don’t have any particular favorite place, but I like to travel to see new scenic parts of the country and hopefully the world.
